The New Jersey Defense Association establishes a communication link among New Jersey Defense Attorneys, Insurance Claim Professionals, self-insurers and other corporations who devote a substantial portion of their time to the defense of damage suits or to claims administration.

NJDA 42nd Annual Convention

June 26 - June 29, 2008 - Otesaga Resort Hotel, Cooperstown, New York
    Located on the southern shore of Lake Otsego, The Otesaga Resort Hotel is a magnificent Federal-style structure. Selected as a member of the prestigious Hotels of America by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, The Otesaga is reminiscent of a genteel era when a gracious welcome was the standard.
    Our educational programs will be held on Friday and Saturday. The Young Lawyers will present several topics on Friday, June 27, and our Annual Case Law Update will be presented at the convention on Saturday, June 28. Our golf and tennis tournaments will be held on Saturday, June 28, and the President’s Reception and the Annual Banquet will be held Saturday evening.
   Your reservation with The Otesaga must include the hotel registration form along with one night’s deposit and must be received by the Hotel no later than 45 days prior to date of arrival, Sunday, May 11, 2008. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. The hotel will release any unused rooms May 11, 2008, and rooms reserved after that date will be at the regular hotel rate and subject to availability.

The Association sponsors educational seminars, a quarterly newsletter and an annual convention. In addition, training is undertaken through such vehicles as a Trial College and other similar type special education programs.

The Association also publishes a Directory of Medical Experts which is available to its members.

A scholarship is also awarded on an annual basis to a New Jersey Law Student who best represents the highest standards in future civil defense lawyers.
