NJDA Annual Awards
The New Jersey Defense Association is seeking nominations for submission to the Board of Directors for the following awards:
Young Lawyer of the Year 2019
Attorney of the Year 2019
The following criteria will be considered by the Board:
Young Lawyer:
Age 40 or less, or with less than 10 years of experience.
Young Lawyer and Attorney of the Year Nominations:
Must be a member in good standing of the NJDA.
The nominee must have made a substantial contribution to the NJDA and the legal community by means of participation in NJDA sponsored events; Seminar presentation; publication of legal articles; performance of charitable works and/or pro bono representation.
Please submit all nominations to no later than April 30, 2019.

Summary
Set on a 400-acre estate next to Cape Cod Bay, this upscale golf resort centered around an 1890s mansion is 1.3 miles from Nickerson State Park and 3.7 miles from Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. Our educational programs will be held on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29, and offer 6 CLE credits, including 1 Ethics credit. I am excited to announce that this year’s Convention will include a keynote-presentation by J. Michael Weston, Esq., Past President of The Defense Research Institute who will discuss defense strategies for openings and closings. Mike Weston is a founding member of Lederer Weston Craig, PLC and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been a frequent speaker on substantive legal topics and the business of law, and has facilitated workshops and retreats on leadership and long range planning. The CLE programs will also include presentations related to important cases decided within the past year, our annual ethics programming, as well as expert presentations on junk science and fire and explosion investigation.
